This guide contains our rankings for the Support Heroes in Marvel Rivals and, while you can't fairly compare characters between different classes, we are focusing on the Strategist class in this tier list. If you want to see more characters, check out our Vanguard Meta Tier List and Duelist Meta Tier List, where we rank the Tanks and DPS in their own classes!
For any tier list to make sense in this style of game, you need to understand the kind of players this list is designed for. Pro players and casual players will play characters very differently, so their rankings can vastly differ. In these tier lists, we are ranking for the average player. This means not brand new to the game, but not a high ranking player either. Typically this means players between Bronze to Platinum ranks.

Season 8.0 Overview
This is a full Season 8.0 update to the tier list based on:
- The metagame from Season 7.5
- Balance adjustments for Season 8.0
- Changes to Team-Ups for Season 8.0
- New Season 8.0 Hero: Devil Dinosaur
Any low tier ratings for characters doesn't mean the character is outright bad. You can play any character in this game, practice them a bunch, and perform well in a match despite a low ranking. For casual players especially, you can dominate with any character if you master them. This list is designed for players looking to play the game without studying and mastering a character.
C Tier
While he isn't a "bad" character, Loki is a really tough healer to use in a casual setting. By the time you figure out how to make him work well, you probably have entered into the competitive scene. If you already know how to use him well, he can definitely give good results in casual, but that can apply to any character. But for players who are new or like to hop on for a few rounds now and then, Loki is an easy skip.
B Tier
Any veteran player would scoff at the idea that Luna Snow could be ranked down in B-Tier. In reality, she has lost her edge over the last few seasons, and her viability isn't as good as she once was. In other words, she has been power crept down to B-Tier for the time being. There are just stronger, easier options to use that don't require as much precision.
Mantis falls into a similar place as Luna here. Solid healer in competitive, not as impactful in casual. Getting lock-on and preset healing amounts is nice and simple, but she's a bit of a dps hybrid. You need to be landing critical hits to make her a dependable healer, which means knowing a lot more about proper spacing, team comps, and some map knowledge. Definitely doable, but not easy.
Believe it or nor, Gambit isn't always a top tier pick. In casual settings, he doesn't thrive as much since teamwork isn't as common. His ultimate, for example, is great because it can both heal and provide damage boosts that are perfect for big team pushes. In casual settings though, you tend to need more reactive healing ults than proactive offensive ones.
A Tier
Over multiple seasons, Adam Warlock has become steadily better. In his current state (in a casual setting), he is a solid, reliable healer. Healing is set to a cooldown and you can't really miss a usage. His abilities are straitforward, and his ultimate can make big impacts without much practice. He is the character I would recommend you start with if you want to learn Mantis, since they both share the dps/healer hybrid style. If aiming is difficult for you in general though, he might rank closer to B-Tier for you.
Ultron brings a fun unique way to play healer. You can passively heal while playing a DPS role, all while flying! He isn't the strongest healer, but he's great if your team's needs more damage output but can't lose a healer. He also has extremely long range on his damage, making him easy to use and be effective with.
Jeff the Land Shark is the best beginner healer there is. He is significantly less focused on damage output and much more focused on constant healing. Just sit in the back and spray your healing. It also heals and damages opponents, so you don't have to swap between damage and healing players. He's the definition of what we call a "heal bot", meaning a character you just turn your brain off and heal non stop, ignoring any pivots to different roles (perfect for the casual setting!)
S Tier
I think it's finally time that Rocket Raccoon moves up to S-Tier in casual. He has solid healing output, doesn't require any practice to be decent with, and gives a revive station for your team. There's not much downside to Rocket this season, and his team-up with Peni Parker makes him even better. He's just a solid healer all around!
Cloak & Dagger has proven to be a premiere healer across all rankings. Her biggest appeal is her auto aim. Not having to be precise with aiming is the hallmark of a casual player. You can sit back, always be effective, and use a strong ultimate when needed. Cloak's side of things is also very appealing since you can do lots of easy, lock-on damage that protects you from divers. Their ultimate also let's you create a long healing path that your team can use to forcefully move to/with an objective.
Invisible Woman is another top tier healer across all ranks. She has a great ultimate, has solid healing output, and she is extremely evasive. If you fall under pressure, you can just double jump away and vanish. This should let you recover and make it back to your team safely. While you do have to be a bit closer to the action than other healers, your attacks hit allies and opponents at the same time. This let's you heal and do damage instead of picking one or the other. She also gets frequent team-up boosts since there are 3 characters that can pair with her to give her stronger heals. She's simply a well rounded character and not difficult to play at a base level.
