How to Talk with Bats the Ghost Dog in Marvel Rivals
Bats was a basset hound whose first owner passed away from a heart attack after sixteen years together, leaving him in a shelter. He was adopted twice more before eventually ending up with Doctor Strange, who took care of him while working as a veterinarian after losing his title as Sorcerer Supreme.
To talk with Bats, you need to go to Doctor Strange’s workplace, the Sanctum Sanctorum, in New York. In Marvel Rivals, there is a specific way to find the Sanctum Sanctorum. Follow these simple steps:
Step 1:
Find a Doom Match that takes place on the Sanctum Sanctorum map. Playing a Doom Match will automatically bring you to this map, as it is the only location available for this arcade mode.
Step 2:
This is where some players might mimss and end up not completing the achievement. Not all characters can talk to Bats, the ghost dog, in Marvel Rivals. To complete this achievement, you need to pick one of the following heroes:
While you can choose any hero in a Doom Match, you must pick one of these specific characters to interact with Bats.
Step 3:
Next, enter the Sanctum Sanctorum building. This is the central building in the outdoor area of the map. Look for the structure with the circular window featuring Doctor Strange’s iconic symbol, which you may recognize from his movies or comics.
Go through the front door and head straight into the spacious round area with a large staircase in the middle. This is where Bats roams around.
Step 4:
In this area, you will see a ghostly blue dog walking around—this is Bats. To talk with Bats, simply walk up to him, and the conversation will start automatically. Make sure you are playing as Jeff the Land Shark, Squirrel Girl, Spider-Man, or Thor.
It’s best to turn on subtitles before attempting this achievement. Sometimes, due to the chaotic nature of Doom Match, you might miss the dialogue because of the surrounding noise. Subtitles ensure you can confirm that the conversation has started.
