Table of Contents
Marvel Rivals Season 2 starts April 11, 2025 and with it, a new competitive season. There will be various enhancements and changes for players outlined in the latest Developer Update. We will keep the information updated below when Patch Notes are released.
Competitive Mode Changes
There are some major changes coming to Competitive, including:
- Increasing the minimum level requirement from 10 to 15.
- Pick/Ban starts at Gold III rank, down from Diamond tier.
- When a team includes players from Eternity or One Above All, only duo queuing will be allowed.
- Individual performance now has a greater weight on points you earn (and lose) per Competitive match.
Ranks
- Rank reset: All players will drop 9 competitive divisions. For example, if you're in Diamond I, you'll drop to Silver I.
- The current Rank distribution has also been revealed (excluding players not participating in Competitive mode). Notably, the mid-Season rank reset was scrapped during Season 1 after community feedback but may be reintroduced with Season 2.

Maps

Starting from Season 2, there will be rotations to Maps in Competitive mode, as well as tournaments:
- New: Hellfire Gala - Krakoa
- Retired: Yggsgard - Royal Palace
- Retired: Tokyo 2099 - Shin-Shibuya
All Maps are still available in Quick Match and Custom Game modes.
