Hawkeye uses Luna Snow's ice to fire a special arrow that can penetrate terrain. If enemies are far enough away, this arrow also deals bonus damage and applies a stun effect. This is one of the six new team-ups added in Season 2.5.

Chilling Assault Guide

Chilling Assault is a new Team-Up ability introduced in the Season 2.5 update of Marvel Rivals. This Team-Up gives Hawkeye terrain-piercing arrows while boosting Luna Snow's healing capabilities.

• As the Team-Up Anchor, Luna Snow gains a 15% increase in healing effects.
• Hawkeye unlocks a new Ice Arrow ability through his Team-Up with Luna Snow.

When this Team-Up is activated, Hawkeye can fire a special icy arrow that penetrates through terrain. If enemies are far enough, these arrows deal bonus damage and apply a freeze effect that affects multiple enemies in an area.

What makes this team-up particularly strong is how it sets up Hawkeye's follow-up shots. When enemies are frozen in place, landing headshots becomes much easier. This leads to a deadly combo where Hawkeye can freeze multiple clustered enemies and then pick them off one by one.

The 15% healing boost for Luna Snow makes her even more effective. While Luna Snow wasn't in a terrible state before this update, this team-up gives her much more value beyond just her ultimate ability.

Overall, this Team-Up buffs both heroes in meaningful ways. Luna Snow becomes a more powerful healer while Hawkeye gains crowd control potential that could bring him back into the meta conversation.

Also, this could be a massive update that makes Luna Snow a must-pick or must-ban hero in competitive play. Teams might ban Luna Snow specifically to prevent the Hawkeye combo, similar to how Hulk was banned in Season 2 to stop the Namor team-up (Gamma Charge).

• Ranged duelists that have an escape plan and are hard to catch, such as Hela and Scarlet Witch
• Enemy Strategists are an ideal target to use this Team-up ability on.
• Flying heroes such as iron-man and storm become easy targets if you can land your Icy arrow on them.

Best Counters

These heroes are the best counters to Chilling Assault:

• venom and captain america are quite tanky to burst and can easily reach Hawkeye and stick to him.
• Duelists such as black panther and spider-man are hard to hit and can easily reach the backline.
