Marvel Rivals has characters from all over the Marvel Universe, and on top of that, there are a lot of ways you can customise these characters with cosmetics. While many skins (called "Costumes" in-game) cost real money, there are plenty of free options for players who don't want to spend cash.
Since the game's release, NetEase has consistently added new free skins that you can get by completing achievements, leveling up your battle pass, and participating in events. Some of these free skins you can get anytime, while others are only available for a limited period. This guide covers all the free Marvel Rivals skins currently available and explains exactly how to get them before they expire.

Marvel Rivals regularly adds new free skins that players can earn through various activities. Here are all the free skins you can get right now:

It's important to know that many of these skins have expiration dates. The competitive rewards and Battle Pass skins will no longer be available after Season ends. Make sure to earn them before they're gone.

These skins were time-limited and are currently unavailable. Sometimes old skins return in future events, but there's no guarantee.
How to Get Free Skins in Marvel Rivals
There are several ways to get free skins in Marvel Rivals without spending money:
- Battle Pass Free Tiers: Even if you don't buy the premium Battle Pass, you can still earn free rewards by playing the game and gaining experience. The free track of Season 1's Battle Pass includes the Blue Tarantula skin for Peni Parker and Emporium Matron for Scarlet Witch.
- Competitive Rewards: Playing in Competitive mode and reaching Gold rank or higher will earn you special skins. In Season 1, reaching Gold will reward you with the Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman and Blood Blaze for Human Torch when the season ends.
- Heroic Journey Achievements: Complete challenges in the Heroic Journey section to earn points. At 200 points, you'll unlock the Ivory Breeze skin for Storm, and at 400 points, you'll get the Jovial Star skin for Star-Lord. These achievements don't expire, so you can work on them at your own pace.
- In-Game Events: Marvel Rivals regularly runs special events with free rewards. These events usually last for a few weeks and require you to complete specific tasks or play certain game modes.
- Redeeming Codes: Developers occasionally release special codes that can be redeemed for free items. Currently, you can use the code "nwarh4k3xqy" to get Iron Man's Armor Model 42 skin. To redeem codes, go to Settings > Account > Redeem Code.
- Platform-Specific Downloads: Some skins are exclusive to certain gaming platforms. PlayStation players can download the Scarlet Spider skin for Spider-Man for free from the PlayStation Store.
