How to Chat With Spider-Zero in the Mech Lab
It might look like a simple task, but the game doesn’t provide any specific instructions on where to find Spider-Zero. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you locate her in the Mech Lab and start a conversation.
Step 1: Play in Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands
The first step is to play on the Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands Convoy map. You can access this map by queuing in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice VS. AI modes. The tricky part is actually getting into a match that features this specific map, this can take a while and is arguably the most challenging part of completing the achievement.
Step 2: Play as the Attacker Team
The second requirement is to play as the attacking team. Competitive mode makes this easier, as you’ll switch sides during the match.
If you're in Quick Match or Practice VS. AI, though, you might get placed on defense. In that case, you won’t be able to progress with the achievement and will have to repeat step one, getting into a match on the Spider-Islands map.
Step 3: Find Spider-Zero
If you’re lucky enough to be placed on the attacking team, the next part is pretty simple, finding Spider-Zero. She’s located inside the spawn area on the Spider-Islands map, the same room where you’ll see Peni Parker’s SP//dr mech being repaired in the center.
From there, head toward the spawn door, and you’ll spot Spider-Zero leaning against the staircase railing. She’s easy to recognize with her jeans, brown jacket, hat, and her signature Spidey mask. That’s the character you need to interact with.
Step 4: Chat With Spider-Zero
The final step is to walk up to Spider-Zero and interact with her by pressing G on your keyboard. Once you do, a short conversation will begin, showing her deep care and connection to her home.
Keep in mind that you have a limited window to do this, only 20 seconds. When the countdown reaches 5 seconds, she’ll move away and won’t be interactable anymore. So, make sure to speak to her as soon as you enter the map.
Fun fact: if you talk to her while playing as Spider-Man, you’ll get a special dialogue that’s different from what other heroes get.
