Marvel Rivals is adding a new way to earn rewards with the Combat Chest system. This limited-time feature launches on with Season 2.5 on May 30, 2025, and gives you another way to unlock costumes, emojis, and other rewards just by playing matches. Similar to the BattlePass, there are four pages of free and Premium tier rewards that players can purchase for 690 Lattice, which can be completed at any time after unlocking it.

How Does Combat Chest Work in Marvel Rivals?
From the recent Patch Notes and the Season 2.5 preview streams, the Combat Chest works pretty much like a BattlePass system, where you will level up your Combat Chest. You will earn experience points by completing matches (win or lose) with a daily cap of 7,200 XP. As you gain more XP, your Combat Chest levels up. Each level you reach unlocks new rewards for you to claim.
How Much Does the Premium Combat Chest Cost?
The Premium Combat Chest option costs 690 Lattice to purchase (around $7 USD). If you decide to buy the premium version, you'll get access to the "Advanced" rewards on top of the free ones.
Once you buy the premium chest, it stays available for you forever. This means you can take your time leveling it up without worrying about missing out on rewards if you can't play every day - similar to the BattlePass system.

Combat Chest Availability
The Combat Chest will be available for a limited time only. Here are the dates:
- Start Date: May 30, 2025 at 09:00:00 UTC
- End Date: July 11, 2025 at 09:00:00 UTC
That gives you about 6 weeks to claim your rewards. Remember, if you activate the Premium Combat Chest, it becomes permanently available to you even after this event period ends. You'll still be able to claim any rewards you've unlocked but haven't picked up yet.
The timing works out pretty well since it runs alongside other Season 2.5 content, including the new Ultron hero release and the Cerebro Database II event.
