What is the From the Abyss Achievement?
The From the Abyss achievement tasks you with "Witnessing Knull break free and reclaim the All Black in Klyntar: Celestial Husk" and rewards 5 Achievement Points upon completion. Your objective is to witness Knull's escape and reclamation of the All Black symbiote on the Klyntar: Celestial Husk map.

The Klyntar: Celestial Husk map cycles through three rounds in random order:
- Celestial Codex
- Celestial Vault
- Celestial Hand
Unlike some other achievements, From the Abyss doesn't require a specific round - you just need to win the overall match while on the correct team.
How to Complete the From the Abyss Achievement
Here's your step-by-step approach to unlocking the From the Abyss achievement:
Step 1: Access Klyntar: Celestial Husk Map
You have two methods to reach the required map:
- Dedicated Queue: Select the specific Klyntar: Celestial Husk queue
- Quick Match: Join regular matchmaking and wait for the map to appear in the rotation
The dedicated queue offers the most reliable path since it eliminates waiting through other maps.
Step 2: Check Which Team You Are On
During the hero selection phase, check which team you've been placed on by checking the background. For the From the Abyss achievement, you must be assigned to Team A to witness Knull's escape cutscene upon victory.
If you're placed on Team B instead, you can still make progress on the Blazing Rebirth achievement, which requires Team B to win and witness the Phoenix egg hatching.
Step 3: Win the Match
As Team A, concentrate on winning the match by capturing 2 out of 3 rounds. It doesn't really matter which round you win; you just need to win the overall match.
Step 4: Witness Knull's Escape
After achieving victory as Team A, you'll be shown the cutscene where Knull breaks free and reclaims the All Black. The achievement will automatically unlock after the match ends.
Important Note: Stay until the match completely ends to ensure the achievement registers properly.
