Marvel Rivals Season 4: Release Date, New Hero, New Map & More

Season 3.5 of Marvel Rivals is nearing its end, but the excitement is far from over. Dev Vision Vol. 09 has just been released, showcasing what’s coming in Season 4, including a brand-new hero, a fresh map, a new Team-Up, and several key adjustments. This guide covers everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals Season 4.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 Release Date

Marvel Rivals Season 4 is set to release on September 12, 2025, roughly a month after the launch of Season 3.5. While the exact start time hasn’t been confirmed, it’s expected to go live around 11:00 AM UTC.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 New Hero

The new hero introduced in Season 4 will be a Vanguard, Angela. After a double Duelist release in Season 3, many players had requested either a Vanguard or Strategist, and NetEase delivered just that.

Angela is designed as a hybrid tank who can adapt to different situations, thanks to her Ichor, which can transform into various weapons, and even a shield. While her full skill set has not yet been revealed, you can check out everything we know so far in our Angela guide.

Another character teased in the trailer is Daredevil. However, there’s no concrete confirmation yet on when he will be released, or if he will be a playable hero. Still, it seems likely, and obviously, that he will be the next addition to the roster.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 New Map

The new map in Season 4 is called K’un Lun: Heart of Heaven. This is a Convergence map, meaning it combines both Capture Point and Payload mechanics. However, Heart of Heaven won’t be available right at the start of Season 4, it’s scheduled to release on September 25, 2025.

Visually, the map offers a vibrant and bright atmosphere with strong Eastern influences. Honestly, it is such a refreshing change of scenery after the darker tone of Season 3.5.

Past leaks have revealed several new voicelines that reference this legendary city and its deep connection to Marvel lore:

  • Doctor Strange: "The mythical city of K'un Lun, as enchanting as ever."
  • Iron Fist: "K'un Lun is my home turf. You should probably follow my lead."
  • Loki: "Pff, how quaint. But K'un Lun pales in comparison to Yggsgard."

A recent leak also revealed the possible lore for Season 4:

"Shou-Lao has fallen into slumber, and K'un-Lun faces an unprecedented crisis. Yet you stand fearless, rising to the challenge, defending this ancient and mysterious city with an unbreakable, iron will. In this heart-pounding showdown, you forged a monument of honor with your very being, becoming a legend for the ages, forever standing tall in the annals of history."

Marvel Rivals Season 4 New Game Mode

Season 4 is set to bring back popular game modes like Clone Rumble and Giant-Size Brain Blast, this time permanently! Even better, all of these mini-modes can now be queued together through a brand-new feature called the Arcade Mode Hub.

Here’s a full list of the game modes available in the Arcade Hub:

  • Conquest
  • Doom Match
  • Conquest (Annihilation)
  • Free Fight
  • Giant-Size Brain Blast
  • Clone Rumble

Aside from the confirmed ones, leaks from X0X_LEAK have also revealed a new game mode along with a special map made for it. The mode will reportedly be called "Infinity Crisis" and will take place on a new map named "Maveth". Early leaks suggest that it will be a Capture the Flag–style game mode.

Based on the leaked images, the Maveth map appears to feature a mix of Hydra and Symbiote themes. However, the leak also mentioned that this mode is still a work in progress, and no further details are available yet.
