Marvel Rivals has added the Giant-Size Hive Mind mode to its game modes lineup. This mode follows the Giant-Size Brain Blast event and maintains the oversized head appearance.
No rewards have been revealed, and the mode follows a random character selection system. Here's what we know about this upcoming mode.

How to Play Giant-Size Hive Mind
The Giant-Size Hive Mind mode features a different approach to team composition than the previous Giant Size mode. Players will be randomly shown two heroes to choose from, and you can play any of those two characters. Furthermore, both teams will have to choose from the same character pool, and all characters will have oversized heads, and players will be able to hit headshots with characters who normally cannot in standard modes.
The game will be played on the Tokyo 2099 Ninomaru map, and the objective is similar to the Brain Blast mode - eliminate enemies and earn the maximum points (50) first. In case no team can score 50 points, the one with the higher points at the end of the game wins.
When Does Giant-Size Hive Mind Mode Start and End?
According to the official patch notes, the Giant-Size Hive Mind mode will be available during two time windows:
- First window: May 9, 2025 (09:00:00 UTC) to May 12, 2025 (09:00:00 UTC)
- Second window: May 16, 2025 (09:00:00 UTC) to May 19, 2025 (09:00:00 UTC)
This event follows a similar pattern to the Giant-Size Brain Blast mode, with each phase lasting 3 days, one week apart.
Giant-Size Hive Mind Mode Rewards
As of now, we cannot see any in-game rewards related to this mode, but we will update this section in case we have some new information. However, you can still buy the Brain Blast emotes from the "Special" section in the Store tab for 400 units.
