NetEase has outlined the upcoming content set to release throughout Season 8.5, including a new hero, new game mode, summer events, and more! Here's the complete roadmap for Season 8.5:
June 12 – Season 8.5 Release

Season 8.5 of Marvel Rivals launches on June 12, 2026, bringing Cyclops to the roster as a Duelist hero! Three store costumes also launch on day one: Magik receives her Soulless Sword skin, Cyclops gets his Weapon M costume, and Phoenix receives the White Crown Phoenix skin.
The Shenloong Tournament event kicks off on the same day alongside the brand-new K'un-Lun: Shenloong Arena map, which introduces Bounty Annihilation, a new 18v18 game mode. The 616 Day Vault also begins on June 12th, running through June 26th and bringing back limited-time costumes and events from Season 1.

June 19th kicks off the Rivals' Summer Festival '26! A new social hub, Hellfire Bay Beach, opens alongside the festival. Players can earn up to 2,500 Units through daily login rewards and a series of events throughout the festival. The X-Press Juice and Krakoan Reels events also begin this week. Emma Frost and Doctor Strange receive swimsuit costumes as part of the Swimsuit Special collection, and Black Panther and Storm receive a new Head Over Heels shared emote.

June 26th adds two more Swimsuit Special costumes as Black Widow and Daredevil both receive summer looks.
