To Me, My X-Men! Achievement Guide

How to assist X-Men members as Storm in Marvel Rivals and get the To Me, My X-Men! Achievement.

Achievements are an important task in Marvel Rivals because they reward you with free Units. One of the more challenging achievements to obtain is "To Me, My X-Men," which requires you to assist X-Men members while playing as Storm. If you're getting KOs instead of assists, this guide has got you covered. Here's everything you need to know to complete this achievement.

How to Assist X-Men Members as Storm

In the Heroic Journey achievements of Marvel Rivals, you'll find "To Me, My X-Men!" listed as a platinum achievement. Its description states: "As Storm, assist X-Men members 10 times."

Storm is a Duelist with high damage output, making her primary role to deal damage and secure KOs. However, this achievement challenges players to take on a supporting role instead. If you're trying to complete this task but keep getting KOs instead of assists, there's one key thing you might be missing.

This challenge is similar to "Homo Superior," where you need to assist Mutant allies using Magneto. Both can be confusing and difficult to complete if you don’t know the trick.

Assisting as Storm requires you to use her Weather Control (Shift) skill. However, there’s a specific trick you need to use to complete this achievement efficiently. To ensure you get assists as Storm, follow these key steps:

Do Not Hit Your Enemies!

The first thing you need to do to complete this task is—believe it or not—not hit the enemies. I know it sounds absurd. Storm is a Duelist, so how can she avoid attacking? But that's exactly what this achievement challenges you to do—play in a way that's completely out of the ordinary.

In Marvel Rivals, if you damage an enemy and your ally finishes them off, you receive a KO count instead of an assist. Assists in this game are primarily granted for actions like healing, shielding, buffing, or saving teammates.

To earn assists as Storm, simply follow any X-Men members in the match and buff them with Weather Control, whether it's for movement speed or damage. However, be careful not to use Goddess Boost (E) while in damage buff mode, as this will trigger damaging lightning strikes, which may secure KOs instead of assists.

So, remember—do not hit the enemies! This is especially important for those targeted by your buffed X-Men teammates, as dealing damage yourself could result in a KO instead of an assist.

Do Not Fly Too High

Storm’s Weather Control skill grants allies a movement speed or damage buff as long as they remain within the AoE circle around her. However, keep in mind that if you fly too high, your teammates will not receive the buffs. To ensure they benefit from the effect, always fly low and stay close to your allies.

Play in a Quickmatch or Practice vs AI

While not a must, I highly recommend completing this task in Quickmatch or Practice vs AI. These casual modes allow you to play Storm without attacking enemies, without the risk of losing rank due to a potential loss.

You might get some complaints from Quickmatch try-hards, but hey—it’s a casual game! Just let them know you’re completing an achievement.

Who are the X-Men Members in Marvel Rivals?

Another important factor in completing this achievement is knowing which heroes are considered X-Men members in the game. Here’s a list of all X-Men members who can help you complete this achievement:

The best heroes to assist are Magik, Namor, Psylocke, and Wolverine, as they have high damage output and can secure kills easily. To maximize your chances of getting assists, it's better to use your damage boost rather than movement speed, as it helps them eliminate enemies even faster.

Based on leaks, Marvel Rivals is expected to introduce more X-Men members in future updates. So far, leaks have teased the possible additions of Emma Frost, Phoenix, and Cyclops. If these leaks turn out to be true and you haven't completed the achievement yet, you’ll have even more options for getting assists.

By following this trick, you'll eventually complete the "To Me, My X-Men!" achievement—perhaps without even realizing it!
