Marvel Rivals is getting its first PvE mode with the upcoming Zombie Mode. This new mode is part of the game's Halloween event and lets you fight waves of zombies with your squad. Here's everything we know about the Marvel Zombies mode coming to Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals Zombie Mode Release Date
Zombie Mode will be available on October 24th, 2025 (or October 23rd based on your region). This is the Mystery Mode that was mentioned in the Season 4.5 roadmap, launching alongside the Midnight Mayhem Halloween costume collection.
All Playable Characters in Zombie Mode
Five heroes are available to play in the Zombie Mode. Each character has been given unique abilities specifically for this PvE experience. You can play solo or team up with up to three other players for a total squad size of 1-4 players. Here are all the playable characters in Zombie Mode:

- Magik
- Jeff The Land Shark
- The Punisher
All Bosses in Zombie Mode
Two major bosses appear in the Zombie Mode that you'll need to defeat. These boss fights happen as you progress through the waves of regular zombies. The confirmed bosses are:
- Zombie Namor- The first boss you'll face
- Scarlet Witch (The Queen of the Dead) - The second boss encounter
How to Play Marvel Rivals Zombie Mode
Zombie Mode takes place on Empire of Eternal Night Midtown map. The objective is to survive against endless waves of zombies while fighting boss encounters. The mode supports 1-4 players, so you can tackle it alone or bring friends.
Difficulty Options: Zombie Mode offers 7 different difficulty levels, allowing you to choose the challenge that suits your playstyle.
Customization System: Before the match start, you can switch your abilities and upgrade your weapon traits. Each ability has three different options to choose from, and you can equip one option per ability slot. Weapon traits can be upgraded using points that you get based on your level progression.
Is Zombie Mode Permanent in Marvel Rivals?
We don't know yet if Zombie Mode will be a permanent addition to Marvel Rivals or if it's a limited-time event tied to Halloween. The developers haven't confirmed whether the mode will stay.
Previous limited-time modes in Marvel Rivals have sometimes returned or become permanent features, so there's a chance Zombie Mode could follow a similar pattern.
