Teasing players with subtle hints about upcoming heroes has always been part of Marvel Rivals’ style, and this month is no exception. The Season 7 Gallery Card has been revealed, and the clues point toward Cyclops and two other figures. Let’s take a closer look.
Season 8 New Heroes Hinted in Gallery Card

Season 7 of Marvel Rivals is here and, as usual, it comes with new content. While White Fox and several new skins are the highlights of the update, many players also look forward to the Gallery Card. Why? Because it often hints at the heroes coming in the next season.
This has been the case before, such as when Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone, or Black Cat and White Fox, were teased in previous Gallery Cards. This time, the hints seem to point toward Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur.
Interestingly, the Season 7 Gallery Card is a bit different, as it appears to feature not just two figures, but also a third mysterious character.
Cyclops

Cyclops is the main hint here. Fans have been asking for Cyclops since Season 1, and it looks like that request may finally come to life. In the Gallery Card, the first clue is the iconic red glasses placed on a shelf on the left.
These red glasses clearly point to Cyclops. While another Marvel character known for wearing red glasses is Daredevil, he is already in the game, making Scott Summers the most likely candidate.
Cyclops has also been hinted at before. In Season 5, when Gambit and Rogue were first introduced, Scott can be seen as a groomsman. Combined with the Gallery Card hint, it now seems almost certain that he will be the new hero in Season 8.

Devil Dinosaur

Another hint in the Gallery Card points toward Devil Dinosaur, teased by the dinosaur plushie placed on top of the shelf. In the Season 6 trailer and Gallery Card, Devil Dinosaur appeared multiple times, though it seemed more like a fun cameo at the time.
Now, with the dinosaur plushie included as a clear hint, fans are convinced that Devil Dinosaur could be introduced as a new character in Season 8.
However, it is still quite difficult to imagine Devil Dinosaur as a playable character in Marvel Rivals. First, his massive size is a concern, as he is significantly larger than Hulk, which could make it challenging for him to fit within the game’s maps.
Secondly, this hint may not point directly to Devil Dinosaur alone. It could also reference his partners, Moon-Boy or Moon Girl, making the clue more ambiguous than it initially appears.

Who is the Third Mysterious Figure?
The uncertainty surrounding the Devil Dinosaur hint has made fans even more interested in the third mysterious figure. She can be seen standing on top of a building on the right, seemingly watching Rogue and Jean Grey as they relax at a café.
A prominent leaker, Miller Ross, has stated that this mysterious figure is eerily similar to Rogue. This claim points strongly toward two possible characters: Captain Marvel or Mystique.
Captain Marvel

Notice how Rogue can fly and has super strength in Marvel Rivals? That is because she absorbed those powers from Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel. She did not just take the powers, but also parts of Captain Marvel’s memories and personality, as seen in Avengers Annual #10 (1981).
This makes it possible that the mysterious figure is Captain Marvel, who would appear similar to Rogue due to that connection.
On top of that, Captain Marvel has reportedly been found in leaked voice lines, further suggesting that her inclusion in the game could happen soon.

Mystique

The second option, and a very exciting one, is Mystique. She is closely connected to Rogue, having acted as her adoptive mother when she was young. Because of this, many similarities developed between them, including experience, personality traits, power dynamics, and shared history.
They also have somewhat similar abilities. Mystique can mimic others’ physical forms, while Rogue can absorb the powers of others.
On the Gallery Card, the figure actually looks very similar to Emma Frost. This could mean it is Mystique, potentially shapeshifting into her.
So why is this exciting? The addition of Mystique could introduce a completely unique gameplay style in Marvel Rivals. Think of the Spy from Team Fortress 2, Mystique could function in a similar way, shapeshifting into members of the enemy team to confuse and outplay them.
This mechanic opens up a lot of creative possibilities. She could disguise herself as an enemy tank, slip into their formation, and set up traps. Alternatively, she could transform into an enemy Strategist, making opponents think they are being healed, only to ambush them in the middle of the chaos.
Overall, the addition of Mystique would bring a fresh and fun gameplay to Marvel Rivals. That's for sure.
That’s everything known so far based on the Season 7 Gallery Card hints. So, what do you think? Which characters would you like to see join the roster in Season 8?
