Best Blade Traits

Focus all your trait points on the red side for Blade. The red traits improve your Ancestral Sword, which is your primary damage source throughout the match.

In-Game Shop Priorities

The blessing system makes or breaks your Blade build. Knowing which blessings to prioritize between waves helps you scale into the monster damage dealer Blade can become.

Hero-Specific Blessings

Start with the red path blessings that directly improve your sword. On The Hunt increases your Ancestral Sword damage, Swift Edge boosts your attack speed, and Sweeping Edge extends your attack range. These three blessings form the core of your damage output.

The one blue blessing you need is Sacrifice Sigil. This blessing gives you a 15% chance to generate an ankh when defeating enemies, and those ankhs pull nearby zombies toward the center. Duplicate cards increase the generation chance even more. This blessing is what takes Blade from strong to absolutely dominant. When you start spinning with your sword, you generate so many ankhs that entire waves get pulled together and deleted instantly.

General Blessings

Vampiric Vitality is one of the main picks in my opinion. It converts your damage into self-healing, and since Blade already has built-in lifesteal plus high damage output, this blessing makes you practically unkillable.

Full Moon is another priority blessing whenever it appears in rotation. This blessing increases the moon power you receive, giving you more points to spend on upgrades after completing objectives. Instead of getting 150 points from boss fights, you get closer to 200.

Apart from these two, focus on Vitality Boost for maximum health increases, Power Surge for raw damage boosts, and Moonlight Protection for damage reduction. These stat increases help you survive longer while dealing more damage.

Is Blade Worth Playing in Zombie Mode?

Blade sits in S tier for good reason. His lifesteal keeps him alive through situations that would kill other characters, and his damage output scales incredibly well into the late game. Unlike Punisher, who needs time to get strong, Blade comes online faster.

The combination of sword range, attack speed, and the Sacrifice Sigil blessing creates a playstyle where you dash into groups, start spinning, and watch everything die while ankhs pull more zombies into your attacks. This works consistently even in Nightmare 4 difficulty.

If you have different blessing combinations or ability choices that work well for you, share them in the comments below and mention which difficulty level you tested your build on so others can try it out.
