Marvel Rivals Ultron Leak: Abilities, Role & Gameplay Prediction

Your guide to Ultron in Marvel Rivals.

Ultron is one of the leaked characters in Marvel Rivals that fans have been eagerly anticipating. With his leaked model and abilities surfacing online, it’s clear that he will introduce new mechanics to the game. So, how will Ultron’s presence impact gameplay in Marvel Rivals? In this piece, I will predict how he will fit into the game based on the leaks.

Ultron Leaked Kit and Abilities

Based on recent leaks, Ultron is expected to be a Strategist hero, capable of both dealing damage and providing healing. His primary weapon, the Encephalo-Ray, is a powerful energy beam that inflicts burn damage on enemies.

Now, let’s take a look at his leaked skills before diving deeper into the analysis.

Passive: Algorithm Correction

“Hold Space to fall slowly while airborne.”

Many might expect Ultron to be a fully flight-based Strategist, which would be a new mechanic in the game. However, this passive suggests that he can fall, meaning he isn’t a true flying hero like Iron Man or Storm.

Dynamic Flight (Shift)

“Quickly dashes in the direction of movement, then enters free-flight mode.”

While Ultron isn’t a permanently flying hero, this skill confirms that he can enter free-flight mode, similar to Star-Lord.

Imperative: Patch (E)

“Commands a giant drone to follow an ally, constantly healing allies within its radius, with additional healing for the designated ally.”

This introduces a new healing mechanic, which could create opportunities for unique gameplay strategies.

Imperative: Firewall (RMB)

“Summons drones to grant bonus health to nearby allies, centered on Ultron and the ally marked with Imperative: Patch.”

Granting AoE bonus health to allies makes this ability a great tool for holding objectives, similar to Loki’s Regeneration Domain.

Rage of Ultron (Ultimate)

“Summons Ultron Drones to fire Encephalo-Rays, which can damage enemies or heal allies.”

This hybrid ultimate serves both offensive and defensive purposes, making Ultron a powerful asset in the right strategy.

Ultron Gameplay Predictions

From the leaked abilities, we can see that Ultron will be a hybrid between a healer and a damage dealer. His kit revolves around AoE healing, which attaches to selected allies. This means you can attach to divers or flying heroes, passively healing them while focusing on other tasks.

This opens up new possibilities for a Strategist to either hold objectives or assist the backline, all while passively healing divers like Venom or Captain America. Additionally, his attached healing ability makes him one of the few heroes who can effectively heal flying teammates—something that, until now, only Rocket Raccoon could do reliably.

However, his passive ability, Algorithm Correction, confirms that he can fall, meaning he isn’t a fully flying hero. It would have been interesting if he were a true flying Strategist, as that would introduce a new dynamic to Marvel Rivals. Nevertheless, his Dynamic Flight skill allows him to soar in free-flight mode, similar to Star-Lord, which still provides decent mobility.

His ultimate, Rage of Ultron, summons drones that deal damage and heal at the same time. This confirms that he isn’t a full-support healer and won’t be able to counter enemy ultimates like Storm’s or Psylocke’s.

This means Ultron cannot serve as a solo healer, much like Rocket Raccoon and Adam Warlock, but he will be a valuable addition to teams that rely on diving into enemy lines or have multiple flying hero teammates.

Based on his predicted playstyle, Ultron will be highly compatible with diving and flying heroes. For Vanguard heroes, diving heroes like Captain America, Venom, Thor, and The Thing will benefit the most from Ultron's kit.

For Duelists, flying heroes such as Iron Man (ironically), Storm, and Human Torch make the best team composition with Ultron. Diving Duelists like Spider-Man and Black Panther also synergize well with him.

As for Strategists, Ultron cannot serve as the team's sole healer. This means he requires at least one or two healing-focused Strategists, such as Invisible Woman, Luna Snow, or Mantis.

Teaming up with Mantis is the best option since she provides damage buffs to allied divers. Giving your Imperative: Patch to the same diver grants not only a damage boost but also continuous healing, allowing them to wreak havoc on the enemy's backline.
