How to Complete Days of Future Past Achievement

Days of Future Past is a new achievement introduced in Season 2.5 of Marvel Rivals. You can complete this achievement by Erasing Ultron's existence from the timeline in Arakko. The task description for this achievement doesn’t clearly explain what you need to do, making it quite confusing. In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know to complete the Days of Future Past achievement in Marvel Rivals.

What is the Days of Future Past Achievement?

The Days of Future Past achievement is part of the Chronoverse Saga achievements in Marvel Rivals. This achievement tasks you to "Erase Ultron's existence from the timeline in Arakko." Clearing this achievement will grant you 5 Achievement Points, needed for progressing toward the ultimate goal, earning free Units.

Note that you can only complete this achievement in Quick Match and Competitive.

Now, let's take a look at how to erase Ultron's existence from the timeline in Arakko in Marvel Rivals.

How to Erase Ultron's Existence From the Timeline in Arakko in Marvel Rivals

Erasing Ultron from the timeline isn’t as simple as just defeating the new Strategist hero. To complete the Days of Future Past achievement, you must win a specific type of match. Follow the steps below to earn this achievement:

Step 1: Play in the Arakko Map

The first step is to play on the new Arakko map. You can access this map by queuing in Quick Match or Competitive. For a limited time, there’s also a dedicated queue called Quick Match (Arakko) that guarantees placement on the map.

If the limited-time mode is no longer available, you’ll need to rely on Quick Match or Competitive and hope Arakko is selected. Matches played in Practice vs AI or Custom Match will not count toward completing the achievement.

Step 2: Play on the Defending Side

Once you’ve entered a match on the Arakko map, the next step is to play as the defending team. If you’re playing in Quick Match and end up on the attacking side, you’ll need to requeue until you’re placed on the defending side.

In Competitive mode, you’ll get the chance to play both attacking and defending sides. However, completing the achievement in Competitive can be more challenging, as players tend to take ranked matches more seriously.

Step 3: Win the Match

The next step is the most challenging, you need to win the match. Playing as the defending team on the Arakko map can be tough, as the map features many platforms and alleyways that flankers and flyers can use to apply pressure.

If you’re struggling, consider using Peni Parker and take advantage of her new Team-Up with Rocket Raccoon, called Rocket Network. This allows you to cover most of the entry points and choke points with not one, but two Bionic-Spider Nests.

Keep in mind that this achievement doesn’t require you to play a specific hero, so use whoever you’re most comfortable with and focus on securing the win.

Step 4: Complete the Achievement

Winning the match will trigger an ending cutscene, where Doctor Doom appears to extract Ultron from Arakko, effectively erasing his existence from the timeline. Once you've secured the victory and finished the game, you’ll receive a notification in the lobby confirming that you’ve completed the Days of Future Past achievement.

While completing this, you can also work on other Arakko-based achievements, such as Invasion Protocol and No More Strings. If you're unsure which characters are best for securing wins, check out the best heroes in the current meta to help you decide.
