The Kings in Black achievement is part of the Chronoverse Saga achievements, added in Season 3.5 of Marvel Rivals. This achievement tasks you to "Witness the showdown between Venom and Knull in Klyntar: Throne of Knull." Clearing this achievement will grant you 5 Achievement Points, needed for progressing toward the ultimate goal, earning free Units.

Follow this step-by-step guide to complete the Kings in Black achievement:
Step 1: Play on Throne of Knull Resource Rumble Map
The first step is to play on the new map, Throne of Knull. You can access this map by selecting the new game mode, Resource Rumble. Keep in mind, this mode is currently a limited-time event, so make sure to complete the achievement before it’s removed.
That said, based on how enjoyable it is, there’s a good chance this mode could become a permanent feature in the future. Honestly, it’s fun enough and balanced enough to work as a competitive mode.
Step 2: Win as Green Team or Lose as Red Team
After entering a Resource Rumble match, the next step is to determine which team you’ve been placed on, Red or Green. To check, simply walk outside your spawn door and look up and behind you. Above the door, you’ll see a massive skull ornament glowing either red or green, depending on your team.
Another quick way to tell is by checking the rock formation in front of the middle spawn door:
- Red Team: The rock slants to the left.
- Green Team: The rock slants to the right.
Once you know which team you’re on, the final step is to either win or lose the match, depending on your side. If you’re on the Green team, you’ll need a win. I recommend using the best meta heroes in Season 3.5 to increase your chances of overwhelming the enemy team.
If you’re on the Red team, you’ll need to lose the match. That doesn’t mean you should deliberately throw the game, as that would ruin the experience for others. Instead, just play normally and hope the opposing team outperforms yours.
Step 3: Complete the Achievement
If you win as the Green team or lose as the Red team, you’ll see a really cool post-match cutscene once the game ends. In it, Venom charges at Knull, leading to a head-to-head clash between the two. Watching this scene will automatically unlock the Kings in Black achievement.
When the match wraps up and you’re back on the main screen, you should see a pop-up saying the “Kings in Black” achievement is complete.
