How to Complete the Digital Ecosystem Achievement

Digital Ecosystem is a new achievement introduced in Season 2.5 of Marvel Rivals. You can complete this achievement by restoring vegetation to the mechanical surface in Arakko. This achievement only tells you the task but doesn’t provide a specific method, which can be confusing due to the lack of detail. However, by following this guide, you'll be able to complete it quickly and easily.

What is the Digital Ecosystem Achievement?

The Digital Ecosystem achievement is part of the Chronoverse Saga achievements in Marvel Rivals. This achievement tasks you to "Restore vegetation to the mechanical surface in Arakko." Clearing this achievement will grant you 5 Achievement Points, needed for progressing toward the ultimate goal, earning free Units.

Note that you can only complete this achievement in Quick Match and Competitive.

Now, let's take a look at how to restore vegetation in Arakko in Marvel Rivals.

How to Restore Vegetation to the Mechanical Surface in Arakko

“Restore vegetation”? Is there a new hero who can plant greenery like in Harvest Moon or something? Actually, it’s much simpler than that. On the new Arakko map, there’s a built-in mechanic that automatically changes the map’s visuals once specific checkpoints are secured. Let’s break down how it works.

Step 1: Play in Arakko Map in Quick Match or Competitive

The first step is to queue for a Quick Match or Competitive game until you’re placed on the new Arakko map. This achievement can only be completed on this specific Convoy map. Alternatively, you can jump straight into the Arakko map by selecting the “Quick Match (Arakko)” mode. However, keep in mind that this mode is only available for a limited time.

Step 2: Play as the Attacker Team

The next step is to play as the Attacker team. This achievement requires you to restore vegetation, which can only be done while attacking on the Arakko map.

If you're playing in Quick Match and end up on the Defending team, you'll need to requeue until you get Arakko and are placed on the Attacker side. However, if you're playing in Competitive mode, you'll get a chance to play both sides, so you won’t need to requeue.

Step 3: Reach 2 Checkpoints

Now that you’re on the Attacking team in the Arakko map, the real challenge begins. To complete the “Restore Vegetation” achievement, your team must escort the Avatar of Krakoa through at least two checkpoints.

Why two? As you advance and secure checkpoints on Arakko, you’ll notice the map visually transforms, from a cold, mechanical wasteland into a vibrant, green environment. This symbolizes the restoration of Arakko’s original state before Ultron’s takeover.

However, progressing through two checkpoints can be difficult, especially in Competitive mode, since defenders are likely to hold their ground. Keep an eye out for Peni Parker and Rocket Raccoon’s new Team-Up ability, Rocket Network, which deploys two Bionic Spider-Nests and creates a powerful defensive setup.

In most cases, reaching the second checkpoint is enough to complete the achievement. That’s how it unlocked for me. But to be safe, try to push all the way to the final point to ensure the achievement registers properly.

Step 4: Finish the Match

After reaching the second checkpoint on Arakko, make sure to stay in the match until it ends. Quitting early may prevent the achievement from registering properly.

Once the match is over and you return to the lobby, you should receive a notification confirming that the “Digital Ecosystem” achievement has been completed.

And that’s everything you need to know about restoring vegetation on Arakko and completing the Digital Ecosystem achievement in Marvel Rivals! While you're playing on Arakko, consider going for the Arakko Goes Analog and Whispers in Pieces achievements as well, they can be completed alongside this one.
