Marvel Rivals 5.5 is here, introducing a new hero, Rogue, and many other new content. Here’s everything you need to know about the Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 update.
Season 5.5 New Hero
Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 introduced Rogue as the newest playable character. She is a Vanguard who can be really adaptable to different situations, and is an off-tank who could deal heavy damage.
Her Ultimate reduces the Ultimate charge of any enemies caught inside its AoE. She can also absorb powers from anyone she grabs and use those abilities herself. These skills open up a wide range of unique gameplay possibilities.
Gambit, the first hero added in Season 5 as a Strategist, quickly won over fans and helped shape a new meta. Rogue also receives the same level of excitement, as she is one of the most anticipated characters yet to join the roster.
New Team-Ups
Rogue joins the existing “Explosive Entanglement” Team-Up alongside Gambit and Magneto. In addition to that, several changes have been made:
- Mental Projection Team-Up has been removed
- Emma Frost joins Chilling Assault
- Psylocke joins Sword of Duality
New Skins
As one of the most exciting aspects of the game, new skins and cosmetics are the next highlight of Season 5.5. Here are the new skins in Season 5.5:
- Savage South Rogue
- Rocket of the Rafters Rocket Raccoon
- Mark 1 Iron Man
- Cap Wolf Captain America
- Shenloong Champion Iron Fist
Human Torch, Moon Knight, Angela, and Emma Frost are also set to have new Grandmaster's Champions-themed skins.
A series of holiday skins will also be available during the Season, including new cosmetics for Squirrel Girl, Daredevil, Winter Soldier, Peni Parker, and Cloak & Dagger.
New Events
The first event live in Season 5.5 is Seeds of the Gardener. This limited-time mini battle pass features exclusive cosmetic rewards, including Mark I Iron Man, Cap Wolf Captain America, and Shenlong Champion Iron Fist skins.
You can expect other new events in Marvel Rivals Season 5.5. One of the events will be “Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival,” which will kick off on December 18th.
