Devil Dinosaur is a Vanguard with a massive body who can aggressively trample enemies while biting them to apply bleeding effects. He awakens from his slumber after Moon Girl is captured by Alchemax, driving him to rescue her.

He has an enormous physique and is able to activate a forcefield shield that allows him to brawl on the frontlines. His forcefield shield creates a massive dome that blocks incoming damage and slows enemies when trapped inside.

His primal bites can inflict continuous bleeding damage on enemies. He can also unleash a crushing jaw attack against bleeding targets after leaping toward them, chomping and stunning them before spitting them out in the direction he is facing.

This suggests a highly aggressive playstyle that revolves around pushing through enemy defenses and staying in close combat.

His ultimate transforms him into an unstoppable behemoth, charging forward and trampling everything in his path, while also getting a very big extra shield. With the support of Strategists, his ultimate can become extremely deadly against enemies who lack mobility options.

How to Play Devil Dinosaur in Marvel Rivals

After the addition of Elsa Bloodstone’s Glartrox and White Fox’s Kumiho form, it is clear that large beasts are not an issue in Marvel Rivals.

Based on his biological traits and kit, he functions best as an area control Vanguard, capable of dealing both melee and mid-ranged attacks.

His bleeding mechanic is his speciality in Marvel Rivals. He is a very aggressive tank who needs to be played aggressively to maximize his potential. On top of that, he could also knock down flying enemies, preventing them from flying, which is another heavy counter to enemy flyers.

Basic Gameplay Loop

One mistake you should avoid while playing Devil Dinosaur is assuming that, because he is huge and tanky, he should constantly dive deep into enemy lines.

He only has one mobility option, and you do not want to waste it recklessly by jumping into the enemy backline without a proper plan.

The best way to play him is by brawling on the frontline while staying within range of support from your Strategists. Focus on biting enemies and applying as much bleed as possible.

This is where Devil Dinosaur becomes especially interesting. His core gameplay loop revolves around applying bleed through his attacks, then using his Shift ability to leap toward bleeding targets, preferably enemy Duelists. Once he grabs someone, you can throw them toward your teammates and quickly secure the elimination together.

Best Combo: Bite > Bite > Shield (if necessary) > Bite > Shift towards bleeding enemy > Turn around and spit them towards your team line > Frenzied Feast > Repeat.

As I mentioned before, this makes him incredibly effective at area control. He truly feels like a dedicated area-control tank.

Anti Flyers

Pick Devil Dinosaur when you are struggling against enemy teams with flying-heavy compositions. If an annoying Iron Man or Angela is dominating the match, switching to Devil Dinosaur is a great option.

His Impact Beam is a direct counter to flying enemies, and what makes it even stronger is its wide hitbox, making airborne targets much easier to hit.

To make things even more oppressive, ask your Duelist teammate to switch to The Punisher so you can activate the Primal Punishment Team-Up together and turn the match into a nightmare for the enemy team.

Ultimate

Your ultimate is best used when you have an opportunity to heavily pressure the enemy backline and cause as much chaos as possible.

The most effective way to use Devil Dinosaur’s ultimate is to first dash into the enemy team, then immediately activate the ultimate, which reduces the dash cooldown to just 4 seconds. Once the ultimate is active, deploy your shield and repeatedly use Frenzied Feast while mixing in basic bite attacks whenever the skill is on cooldown.

This combo allows you to deal massive damage through trampling, Frenzied Feast, and continuous bleeding effects all at once.

If the fight starts becoming too overwhelming, quickly use your dash again to disengage and retreat safely.
