Team-Up Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 4
New Team-Up in Season 4
Season 4 introduces one brand new team-up ability:
Divine Armory (thor, Angela]
Angela teams up with Thor. She shares her ichor with him, letting Thor throw a thunder spear that restores his Thor Force when it hits enemies. After throwing the spear, Thor can jump to where it landed and deal damage to everyone nearby.
Removed Team-Up
- Dimensional Shortcut is being completely removed from the game.
Team-Ups Getting New Members
Arcane Order
Magik is joining this team-up. She can create chains of Cyttorak magic that link two enemies together and slow them down. The farther apart the linked enemies are, the stronger the slow effect.
Gamma Charge
Black Panther is joining this team-up. When his health drops below a certain threshold, he automatically activates a gamma shield to block incoming damage.
New Map Coming
Heart of Heaven launches on September 25th as a new Convergence mode map.
Major Arcade Mode Updates
Season 4 brings huge changes to arcade mode:
- Permanent Modes: Fan favorites like Clone Rumble and Giant Size Brain Blast are coming back and staying for good.
- New Modes:
- Free Fight - No restrictions on duplicate heroes
- Conquest Annihilation - Rack up points through KOs
- All Arcade Modes in One Place: Conquest, Doom Match, Conquest Annihilation, Free Fight, Giant Size Brain Blast, and Clone Rumble will all be accessible from one arcade mode hub. You can queue for multiple modes at once.

The developers are making balance changes based on data from Season 3:

New Features and Improvements
- Custom Ultimate Effects: Starting in Season 4, everyone will be able to see your custom ultimate ability visual effects. There's an option to hide other players' custom effects if you prefer.
- New Accessories: Magneto, Scarlet Witch, Cloak & Dagger, and Luna Snow are getting new accessories after the September 25th update.
- Favorites Bar: You can now pin your most played heroes to find them quickly during hero selection.
- Gallery Card Downloads: You can now save high-definition images to your device by selecting inspect on a cast page.
- Chat Customization: You can customize your chat text color and add animated emojis.
Summer Special Volume 2
The summer special launches on September 18th with new summer costumes and cosmetics. The showcased heroes getting summer skins are The Punisher, Invisible Woman, Mantis, Human Torch, and The Thing.

Marvel Rivals is coming to PS4 on September 12th.
