Marvel Rivals players have something exciting to look forward to! Recent leaks suggest that Angela, Odin's long-lost daughter, may be amongst the next heroes joining the game's roster. If you've been keeping up with Marvel Rivals' hero releases, you'll know that NetEase promised to add at least two new characters every season, will Angela be that second hero we’ve been waiting for? In this piece, I will predict her potential abilities, role, and gameplay based on the leaked information.
Who Is Angela in Marvel Lore?

Angela was born as Aldrif Odinsdottir, the firstborn child of Odin and Freyja. Her story takes a dramatic turn when Angels kidnapped her during the Heaven War on Asgard. They threatened Odin, hoping he would surrender in exchange for his newborn daughter. When Odin refused, Aldrif was sentenced to death.
Thankfully, one Angel showed mercy and secretly saved the child, raising her as one of their own under the name "Angela." As she grew older, Angela left her foster mother and began her journey to become the legendary warrior we know today.
Angela's Potential Abilities and Role in Marvel Rivals
Angela’s possible addition to Marvel Rivals comes from a leak featuring Loki’s dialogue with her: "Angela, darling, am I supposed to believe that Odin had a Kingslayer daughter that I have never known of?"
Another hint appears in the new Gallery Card, "Nowhere to Run" from Season 3.5, which states that Hela’s own kin is coming to deliver justice.
For now, these are the only surfaced leaks, with no ability details revealed yet. However, based on her powers and abilities in the comics, we can speculate that her skills will likely revolve around her physiology.

From the comics, we know that she possesses:
- Superhuman Stamina and Strength
- Superhuman Speed
- Healing Factor
- Flight Capabilities
Based on this information, it wouldn’t be surprising if Angela were introduced as a Vanguard. The same Gallery Card lore also hints at another possible character, Daredevil. Since Daredevil fits more naturally as a Duelist, it’s unlikely that NetEase would release another Duelist so soon, especially after Season 3 already featured a double Duelist release with Phoenix and Blade.

Latest leaks suggest that Angela might wield a spear as her primary weapon and possess a temporary flight ability, likely similar to Phoenix’s flight mechanic. The addition of the spear opens the door for some exciting new skill mechanics.
At the top of my mind, one possible ability could allow her to impale enemies with the spear, pushing them forward and stunning them if they hit any obstacles. Probably something similar to Orisa’s javelin in Overwatch or Vayne’s Condemn in League of Legends. It could even resemble Emma Frost’s kick, but instead of being close-range, this would work as a ranged ability.
If NetEase decides to depict Angela as a true tank, similar to her appearance in Marvel Mystic Mayhem, she would likely wield a shield. This could also introduce a new counter-attack mechanic, where Angela blocks incoming damage with her shield and retaliates with a powerful counter slash that deals devastating damage in quick succession.
It would be really cool if her Ultimate worked like her dash skill in Mystic Mayhem, where she pulls enemies toward her as the center and stuns them. This ability could function similarly to Groot’s Ultimate, but with a more aggressive approach, opening up opportunities for powerful team combos.
While these are all speculation, her skills might revolve around it.
Angela Gameplay Prediction
As a close to mid-range Vanguard, she will excel in brawling during team fights. If my skill prediction comes true, playing as Angela will feel like a combination of Blade, Phoenix, and Emma Frost.
Angela will excel in team fights, just like Blade does. The difference is that Blade is highly effective at wreaking havoc on the enemy backline, whereas Angela will likely be better at fighting enemy DPS who engage in the middle of the battlefield. She would be a good counter to DPS heroes such as Winter Soldier, Wolverine, or Hela.

The reason I compare her to Emma Frost is that, like Emma, Angela would rely heavily on a crowd-control stun to finish off enemies. Missing this crucial skill could completely turn the fight around, but if she lands it on target, it would give her team a massive advantage.
She would work well with healers like Adam Warlock, who can use Soul Bond to share damage taken, or Cloak & Dagger, who could sustain her healing even amid the chaos of the battlefield.
Nevertheless, if this prediction comes true, she will be a great addition to the game. She would provide a new option for countering melee to mid-range heroes who are dominant in ranked matches, such as Wolverine or Winter Soldier.
When Will Angela Release?
The latest leaks suggest that Angela will be the first hero released in Season 4 (September 12, 2025), with Daredevil arriving in the second half of the season. However, this is still speculation based on leaks, so take it with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation.
What to Expect Next
While this leak seems credible based on the audio files and Gallery Card story, we'll need to wait for an official announcement from NetEase to confirm Angela's addition to Marvel Rivals. In the meantime, you can prepare by playing heroes with similar potential playstyles to get a feel for how she might work.
Other leaks have revealed potential new heroes such as Rogue, Gambit, Captain Marvel, and White Fox. These are just a glimpse of the vast roster many believe will be introduced in the future.
