Marvel Rivals is introducing a new consumable item called the chrono-shield-card-202 as a reward during the Galacta's Gift event. Players can activate it to prevent point loss from a defeat in Competitive mode.
Players can obtain up to 8 from the missions available from the Galacta's Gift event.
Chrono Protection System
In Marvel Rivals, the Chrono Shield system already exists to prevent lower ranked players Gold and below to drop ranks in competitive mode.
Both Chrono Shield Tokens from ranked matches and Chrono Shield Cards from events will not be for sale and are only usable for Gold rank and below. The purpose is to allow lower-ranked players to enter ranked mode with even less pressure through this mechanism.
