Season 5 of Marvel Rivals is up and running, bringing excitement with the introduction of a new Strategist, Gambit. Plenty of new content has arrived, yet NetEase seems to have more up their sleeve. Leaks suggest that a Black Market feature may be coming in a future Marvel Rivals update. Here’s what to know.
Black Market Feature Coming to Marvel Rivals Based on Leaks

A prominent dataminer, RivalsInfo, on X revealed that a Black Market feature is coming to Marvel Rivals. It is still unknown when this feature will arrive, but the dataminer mentioned that they can confirm NetEase is working on it.
Judging by how NetEase usually operates, they often like to surprise players. This feature could even be part of their first-anniversary celebration in December. However, don’t get your hopes up until official information is released.
What is the Black Market Feature in Marvel Rivals?
The Black Market in Marvel Rivals is believed to be a feature that brings back past skins at cheaper prices for each account. However, the exact system is still unknown.

It could function similarly to Valorant’s Night Market, where each account receives six random skins from a large pool, purchasable with credits. This approach is completely RNG, meaning the pool of available skins is essentially determined by the player’s luck.

If it follows Overwatch 2’s approach, the available skins is based on the heroes an account plays most. For example, if you frequently play Hawkeye, his past skins may have a higher chance of appearing in your Black Market rotation. This would be a great feature for new Marvel Rivals players who want to collect skins for their main heroes.
Either way, this feature may spark mixed reactions, as some players would prefer older skins to remain exclusive and not be sold again.
When Will the Black Market Release in Marvel Rivals?
Marvel Rivals is approaching its first anniversary in December. If NetEase decides to surprise players with this feature, it would likely arrive on December 12, 2025, when Season 5.5 begins. However, don’t expect too much just yet, as there is still no confirmed information regarding its release. We’ll make sure to update this page as soon as more details become available.
So, what do you think? Are you excited about the potential Black Market feature, or do you prefer the store to stay the way it is?
