Blade of Khonshu

When Moon Knight and Blade team up, Khonshu’s power blesses and protects Blade, granting him a new ability to dash forward and unleash rapid sword slashes, each sending out a moon-blade projectile that bounces between enemies and deals damage. Blade of Khonshu is a new Team-Up introduced in Season 5 of Marvel Rivals.

Blade of Khonshu Guide

In this Team-Up, Moon Knight acts as the anchor, granting Blade a new ability that allows him to dash forward and unleash rapid slashes. What makes it special is that each slash releases moon-blade projectiles that bounce between enemies, dealing damage with every hit.

This is such a cool new skill for Blade, making him even more deadlier than he already is. If you have played the PvE Marvel Zombie in the game, you might be familiar with the moon-blades. This Team-Up uses that mechanic, combined with the bouncing power just like Moon Knight's projectiles.

Target Priority

The primary targets for this Team-Up ability are enemies who fight close together, regardless of their role. Most of the time, mid-range Duelists and Vanguards stay grouped, and sometimes even Strategists join them, this is when the Team-Up truly shines.

Strategists who tend to stick together in the backline are also prime targets for the Blade of Khonshu Team-Up.

Combo Playstyle

To maximize the potential of this Team-Up, the best approach is to follow up on combos initiated by allies who can set up opportunities for you. Heroes like Magik, who can tether two enemies together, are perfect examples.

Groot, Doctor Strange, and Angela are also excellent combo initiators for the Blade of Khonshu Team-Up, as their abilities can group or crowd enemies, allowing Blade to unleash devastating attacks.

Best Against

Blade of Khonshu is best used against characters who tend to stick together in close range:

The moon-blades can bounce between Namor and his minions, as well as Loki and his illusions. Similarly, when Groot and Rocket Raccoon, and occasionally Jeff the Land Shark, are close together, such as when Rocket is perched on Groot’s shoulder, it’s the perfect time to activate the Team-Up, as the projectiles will bounce between them for maximum damage.

The best counter to Blade of Khonshu is using heroes who can keep their distance from Blade. Flyers like Iron Man, Storm, Ultron, and Human Torch are perfect choices, as they can easily stay out of his reach.

This Team-Up also forces Blade to play more aggressively and dive into fights, making heroes who can protect allies from such dives, like Hulk, Gambit, and Peni Parker, excellent counters as well.
