Lore

Mantis: You seem on edge, Loki.
Loki: To be fair, I am always on edge. But yes, I suppose I am a bit unnerved by current circumstances.
Mantis: I can use my empathic powers to calm your emotions, if you wish.
Loki: No no, that's not necessary. It's just that present company has put me on edge.
Groot: I am Groot.
Loki: Not you, you dolt. But yes, she does look great in green.
Mantis: You think so? You do too! Wait, wait, you understood him?
Loki: All-Speak is a language of gods, my dear. We are of the same cloth.
Groot: I am Groot.
Mantis: Whaaaaa?! A divine connection? That's a bit much, Groot! I–I–I–
Loki: The tree speaks true. Our auras are perfectly aligned between your cosmic touch and my mastery of magic.
Mantis: Eh?! Loki, what are you talking about?!
Loki: Our energies combined can prove stronger than each of us alone. 'Tis my nature to use others, but your purity speaks to me. Perhaps we can be…more…
Groot: I am Groot…?
Mantis: No, no, no, he HAS to be talking to you. And no I'm not blushing!

Vibrant Vitality Guide

In this Team-Up ability, Mantis serves as the anchor, granting Loki's Regeneration Domain to boost the stats of affected allies, and Groot's healing walls, which restore health to nearby teammates.

Loki

With this new Team-Up, Loki's already powerful Regeneration Domain becomes even more impactful, capable not only of healing and protecting, but also boosting the stats of allies within its AoE.

Both Loki and nearby allies gain bonus damage while inside the enhanced Regeneration Domain, creating numerous opportunities for strategic plays:

  • When flanked or dived, the domain doesn’t just protect the backline, it significantly increases the chance to punish the diver.
  • When pushing or playing aggressively, Loki can activate the enhanced domain to amplify allies' damage output, putting immense pressure on the enemy team.

This shifts Loki’s role in the meta from being a passive healing pillar to a more aggressive Strategist. When paired with Mantis, a more offensively oriented healer, this Team-Up is best utilized on the attacking side or during Domination matches.

Groot

There’s a reason Groot is one of the most banned heroes in competitive matches, his walls are not only disruptive but incredibly powerful. With the new Team-Up, his Ironwood Wall becomes even stronger, now capable of healing both Groot and nearby allies.

This Team-Up shines when the team is playing aggressively while contesting a point, or holding a choke point from the defender’s side. The added healing effect makes it extremely difficult for enemies to break through during intense standoffs.

Since Mantis is an offensive healer, having her as the anchor of this Team-Up naturally shifts the team's playstyle toward aggression. To maximize both healing and damage output, it's best to include Loki in the lineup, as he also receives a significant boost from this Team-Up synergy.

Best Against

This Team-up is best against melee and mid-range heroes:

  • Captain America and Thor, as Vanguards, frequently dive into the backline. The boosted Regeneration Domain not only provides protection but also punishes these tanky divers by increasing allied damage output within its area.
  • Black Panther and Spider-Man, both agile flankers who excel at disrupting the backline, are also effectively countered by the enhanced domain’s combination of healing, defense, and offensive buffs.
  • Meanwhile, Magik and Winter Soldier, as close to mid-range Duelists, often engage in tight spaces where Groot’s enhanced walls can block their movement or line of sight, disrupting their flow and giving your team the upper hand in close-quarters combat.

Best Counters

  • Wolverine can easily snatch Groot, Loki, or any buffed target out of position, pulling them away from the Ironwood Wall or Regeneration Domain, effectively disrupting the Team-Up’s synergy.
  • Since this Team-Up encourages tight formations, it becomes an ideal scenario for Moon Knight, allowing him to bounce his projectiles consecutively for maximum damage.
  • Additionally, Invisible Woman can push or pull buffed enemies out of the AoE, forcing them away from healing and stat boosts, and weakening the frontline or backline cohesion.
