Marvel Rivals Season 5: New Heroes, Theme & Map

Marvel Rivals Season 4.5 is nearing its end, bringing excitement with the arrival of Daredevil and the new PvE Zombie mode. As the season wraps up, many players are starting to wonder who the next heroes will be and what theme the upcoming season will feature. The official trailer has been released, revealing new content coming in Season 5 of Marvel Rivals, here’s everything you need to know.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 Theme

The official trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 5 has finally dropped, revealing a romantic theme titled “Love is a Battlefield.” For the start of the season, the main battleground will remain centered around Krakoa.

Players can expect plenty of love-themed cosmetics throughout the season, including Battle Pass rewards and exclusive shop skins designed to fit the Valentine-inspired vibe.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 New Heroes

When the theme revolves around love and romance, two heroes that immediately come to mind are Gambit and Rogue, and rightfully so, as the Season 5 trailer confirms their arrival, showcasing the iconic couple joining the battlefield together.

Gambit is to join Marvel Rivals as a Strategist, with abilities centered around his iconic explosive playing cards and bo staff, reflecting his signature powers from the comics and films. Check the guide below for more details on what Gambit might bring to Marvel Rivals.

Another addition is Gambit’s lover, Rogue. A core member of the X-Men, Rogue’s power allows her to absorb the abilities of anyone she touches. She is expected to be a Strategist or a Vanguard. Check the guide below for more information on what Rogue might bring to Marvel Rivals.

What’s even more interesting is that the trailer also teased a mysterious figure wearing red sunglasses, standing beside Gambit as his groomsman. Could it be Cyclops? If so, he might just be the third character secretly hinted at in the Season 5 invitation’s hidden message.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 New Map

Leaks, gallery cards, and past in-game interactions suggest that the new Season 5 map may revolve around the Collector’s Theme Park.

This speculation gained more traction after the release of Spider-Man’s new skin, Man-Spider. The skin’s background features an emblem that closely resembles the Collector’s Theme Park. Interestingly, in previous skins, the background emblems have often aligned with the season’s theme.

Additionally, Rocket Raccoon and Mantis’ in-game interaction from a past season clearly hinted that after the Klyntar event, they would head to the Collector’s Theme Park to free the prisoners. This strongly indicates that the map has been in development for some time, and it may finally arrive in Season 5.

You can expect a variety of themed areas in this map, such as a greenish garden, a fighting arena, and a section filled with glass boxes containing prisoners, the park’s main attraction.

Previous leaks have also revealed a voiceline mentioning Howard the Duck, a character closely tied to the Collector. He might serve as the payload asset in this potential new map.

Season 5 introduced 3 new Team-Ups, along with changes to the existing ones:
