Lore
"Let's see…" Deadpool said as he dug through a crate of bizarre weapons that he had salvaged from across the Chronoverse. "There has to be something useful in here somewhere. A Twilight Sword or a Cosmic Cube or —"
"Mrrr!" Jeff exclaimed as Deadpool tossed a large stuffed unicorn from the crate.
"Aww! You like the magic horsey, Jeff?" Deadpool asked as he watched his Land Shark companion nuzzle up against the plushy polyester plaything. "All yours!"
"MRRRR!" Jeff barked with glee, chomping his jaws down on the plush toy's front leg.
As Jeff continued to gnaw on the unicorn, it suddenly repeated the noise Jeff had just made: "MRRRR!"
"Whoa! Wait a second!" Deapdool said, abandoning his search. "Did that thing just record and replay your adorable little shark mumbles? Lemme try!"
Deadpool gave the unicorn's leg a squeeze and uttered something so utterly obscene it made Jeff blush. A moment later, the unicorn was repeating the same words that had just poured out of Deadpool's filthy mouth.
"Who needs an Infinity Gauntlet?" Deadpool said, kicking over his crate. "I just found my perfect weapon. One that can annoy my enemies to death with my trademark charm and wit!"
Deadpool and Jeff continued to take turns, recording strange phrases and playing them back until their sides were splitting with laughter. But not everyone was amused.
Elsa Bloodstone was nearby polishing her weapons, and after an hour of the duo's incoherent ramblings, she had reached her limit. She attacked Deadpool with a sudden strike, tying him up, and gagging his mouth with her breathing gun.
"If you like the sound of your voice so bloody much," Elsa said. "let's see how long it takes before it drives you insane. Jeff… A little help?"
Elsa tossed the unicorn plush to Jeff, who bit down hard on its plush paw, forcing the captive Deadpool to listen to his own voice on a constant loop. Jeff stayed unusually cheerful throughout the act of psychological torture, completely unaware that this was anything more than just another friendly game. As he played Deadpool's recorded words over and over, Jeff happily mimicked them in his own language.
"MFKK IK STFP!" Deadpool begged through the gag. But it was useless. Elsa wasn't about to let his suffereing end anytime soon.
Days later, once Deadpool had finally broken down under his own endless nonsense, a satisfied Elsa yanked the breathing gun from his mouth… completely unaware that her weapon was now pulsing with a mysterious red glow…
Mr. Pool's Interdimensional Toy Box Guide
Jeff the Land Shark
In this Team-Up, Deadpool acts as the anchor, granting Jeff a new ability that lets him spit out a toy that sprays water in an AOE, healing allies within the area.
What makes this Team-Up skill unique is its disruption effect. Enemies caught in the AOE will have their screens filled with absurd Deadpool images. It sounds silly, but that’s exactly what makes it effective, this is Deadpool, after all.
This Team-Up is especially strong during team clashes on capture points. Not only does the toy provide consistent healing, but the screen disruption can completely throw enemies off their game.
Trying to aim at multiple targets while dealing with chaotic visual interference can be disorienting, causing enemies to miss shots, lose focus, or retreat altogether.
Elsa Bloodstone
With this Team-Up, Elsa Bloodstone's Living Bullet rounds get an upgrade. Enemies hit with this skill will get distracted with Deadpool's visual clutter and sound cues. Additionally, Elsa can recall the rounds to heal herself based on damage dealt.
Similar to Jeff’s ability, this skill is perfect for disrupting enemy focus with its annoying visual distraction. When combined with the healing effect, it becomes a pivotal tool that allows Elsa to play more aggressively and maintain pressure in fights.
Best Times to Use
The best times to use this Team-Up are during full team clashes or when disrupting enemy flankers. Breaking the focus of flanking heroes like Black Panther or Daredevil, who rely heavily on precision and target tracking, can be a lifesaver for your backline.
Avoid using this skill while chasing enemies, as it provides little to no value in that situation. Its true strength lies in creating chaos, confusing enemies, disrupting their focus, and forcing mistakes at crucial moments.
Best Against
Mr. Pool's Interdimensional Toy Box is best used against characters who require extra focus when engaging in fights and mid-range characters that thrive on team clashes:
The aim is to disrupt their focus, causing them to miss their deadly shots or mistime their swings.
Best Counters
These are the best heroes to counter Mr. Pool's Interdimensional Toy Box:
Flying heroes who aren’t affected by the toy are the best counters. Fast-moving ranged characters like Psylocke and Star-Lord can easily maneuver out of the area and quickly finish off Jeff. Heroes with large hit areas, such as Mister Fantastic and The Thing, are also strong counters to this skill.
The best counter to Blade of Khonshu is using heroes who can keep their distance from Blade. Flyers like Iron Man, Storm, Ultron, and Human Torch are perfect choices, as they can easily stay out of his reach.
This Team-Up also forces Blade to play more aggressively and dive into fights, making heroes who can protect allies from such dives, like Hulk, Gambit, and Peni Parker, excellent counters as well.
