Psionic Mayhem

Psionic Mayhem is a Team-Up ability introduced in Marvel Rivals Season 6.5. In this Team-Up, Doctor Strange's Maelstrom of Madness becomes Psionic Vortex by using Invisible Woman's psionic power, pulling enemies towards him and granting extra health to himself and nearby allies based on damage dealt.

Lore

"Where are these creatures coming from, Susan?" Doctor Strange asked as he conjured another magical barricade.
"Subterranea," Invisible Woman replied. "They're Moloids — the minions of the Mole Man. They usually keep to their underground kingdom and don't bother anyone. But with all of the construction that Fisk is doing in Lower Manhattan, they must've felt threatened."
"And now they're attacking in hordes," Doctor Strange replied. "Just how many of these Moloids are there?"
"We've never been able to get a solid count," Invisible Woman said. "But Reed estimates it could be in the billions."
"I'm afraid the Shields of the Seraphim may not be adequate to hold back that many," Doctor Strange said.
"But my shields are," Invisible Woman said with confidence. She put a hand to her temple and focused, and an oncoming group of Moloids suddenly stopped in their tracks, unable to advance or retreat. It was as if they were confined within transparent walls.
"Impressive," Doctor Strange said. "If you can draw them closer to me, I may have another spell that could shift the winds in our favor..."
Invisible Woman manipulated her force field to drag the Moloids toward the Sorcerer Supreme, who was already busy casting a powerful spell — the Maelstrom of Madness. As the creatures were swept up in the chaos, Invisible Woman held them in place with her shields. Yet despite being trapped in the violent tempest, the Moloids refused to surrender.
"They are stronger than they look..." Doctor Strange said. "Perhaps we need another plan."
"No, Stephen," Invisible Woman replied. "We just need to weather this storm together to the very end."
With that, Invisible Woman released all of her psionic energy, causing a powerful explosion within the mystical maelstrom. When the winds settled, all of the Moloids lay defeated at last.

Psionic Mayhem Guide

In this Team-Up, Invisible Woman acts as the anchor, granting Doctor Strange her psionic power and changing how Maelstrom of Madness works. Maelstrom of Madness becomes Psionic Vortex, which pulls enemies toward him and grants extra health to himself and nearby allies based on the damage dealt.

This Team-Up is a major upgrade for Doctor Strange. His base Maelstrom of Madness is already a strong, game-changing ability. With the added pulling effect and bonus health for both himself and allies, he becomes even more durable in team fights while still dealing heavy AoE damage.

Psionic Mayhem works exactly like Maelstrom of Madness, so make sure to deal damage first to fully charge the ability before unleashing it.

Psionic Mayhem is especially powerful during team clashes, where clumped enemies are pulled in and damaged at the same time, while allies benefit from the bonus health, allowing the team to sustain longer in extended fights.

Best Against

Psionic Mayhem is best used against close- to mid-range heroes who often give you a hard time when contesting the objective:

The aim is to apply pressure and crowd control to close- and mid-range characters during team fights. Even a slight change in positioning can significantly disrupt their aim and focus. their aim and focus.

Best Counters

These are the best heroes to counter Psionic Mayhem:

Heroes who cannot be displaced, such as The Thing and Emma Frost in her Diamond Form, are the best counters to this Team-Up. Flying heroes like Human Torch, Storm, Iron Man, Angela, and Ultron are also unaffected by the pull effect, while still being able to apply pressure on Doctor Strange.

Moon Knight is another strong option because, with this Team-Up, enemy teams tend to group up more closely, making them an easier target for his AoE damage and bounce-based abilities. tend to stick together, making a really easy prey from Moon Knight's bouncing projectiles.
