Lore
DAREDEVIL: You're dangerously close to entering the Eighth City, Punisher. The people there are under my protection.
PUNISHER: Including the Clan Yashida assassin I’ve been trailin’? Since when have you harbored criminals, Devil?
DAREDEVIL: Since my path to redemption brought me here and made me their keeper.
PUNISHER: Funny. The Matt Murdock I used to know would never let a killer run free. Then again, that Matt wouldn’t have fought nearly as dirty as you either. So maybe the new you ain't all bad…
DAREDEVIL: I’m not sure I should take that as a compliment.
PUNISHER: I don’t care how ya take it… as long as you hand over the punk I’ve been lookin’ for.
DAREDEVIL: Before I do, perhaps you should look harder…
PUNISHER: Hey! Get your hands off me! What do you think you’re -- ? Whoa. When you touched me… It's like I could see him inside my head… Is this some sorta magic trick? Or is this how you've been seein' the world all along? Either way, that jerk is here… but he's makin’ a new life for himself… followin’ the rules… startin’ a family… But …
DAREDEVIL: Everyone can change for the better, Castle. Including you. If you choose to.
PUNISHER: … Fine. You can keep him. But I saw somethin’ else when you touched me. Somethin’ nasty… and familiar. And it’s inside of you. Better not let it out, pal… or next time you’ll be the one I’m huntin’…
Bestial Hunt Guide
In this Team-Up, Daredevil acts as the anchor, shares the location of his Sonic Pursuit target with The Punisher. At the same time, The Punisher can launch a devil-infused shock grenade to damage and Blind enemies.
This ability is perfect for isolating long-range heroes and enemy Strategists, confusing them, and disrupting their focus for a few crucial seconds. Don’t underestimate the power of fear—even a short window can shift the pace of battle and force enemies to make mistakes.
Best targets are mid- to long-range enemies. This ability can effectively counter heroes like Hela, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Namor, or Phoenix, who rely heavily on precise aiming. Blinding them, even briefly, gives your team a big advantage.
Another strong use case is against enemy backliners. Inflicting fear on healers can disrupt their rhythm, causing them to pause or reposition instead of healing their allies. Most importantly, once blinded, they’ll almost always try to reposition—turning them into easy prey for Punisher to hunt down.
However, this skill does not lock onto targets and has a relatively slow projectile speed, making it difficult to hit flying enemies. It is not designed to counter heroes like Storm, Iron Man, Human Torch, or Ultron.
This skill is also not effective against melee heroes. Instead of going completely blind, they become nearsighted—and since melee heroes often go berserk and fight aggressively regardless of vision, characters like Magik, Angela, Thor, Blade, Captain America, and Iron Fist won’t be significantly affected by this Team-Up ability.
Best Against
Bestial Hunt is best to use against mid- to long-ranged heroes and Strategists:
Best Counters
These are the best heroes to counter Bestial Hunt Team-Up:
Melee characters who often go full ooga-booga won’t really be affected by Bestial Hunt’s fear, since they don’t rely much on vision anyway.
Flyers are also strong counters to this Team-Up, as the blinding projectile isn’t target-locked and travels slowly, making it difficult to hit fast-moving aerial enemies.
